SOLO A Star Wars Story

I don’t think they were stealing it for the Empire. If Maul was the end employer it was for himself and his own plans. He’s pretty much a freelance bad guy at that point in life and not a part of the Sith or Empire.

 

Wasnt Vos secretly working for the Empire? or was Kira playing him

 

Pretty sure it’s all for maul. My thought was that Qi’Ra was playing Vos along. Not 100% sure though.

 

She was pretty cool about Vos dying and she was quick to contact Maul. She might have been plotting to move up the chain of command all along. Either way she was way to eager to leave Han and move on with whatever her plans were.

 

Yeah I thought that was funny. She had no hard feelings for him at all. Never heard of her before this movie. Be interesting to see what her and maul do next. I know his brother has to come into play somewhere along the lines since he saved him.

 

I’m not too sure to be honest I don’t remember him mentioning the empire or sith at all, I thought he was just his own bad guy. Pretty sure Kira was playing him though all along cuz she secretly works for Maul

 

What Darth Maul looks like now if anyone was wondering.

 

Bad A$@. I’d love to see him like that on the big screen in a major SW movie

 

Mauls brother is dead. Killed by sidious on mandalore

That happened in the clone wars series in like season 5. Story with the brother is count dooku had his apprentice asaj ventress who failed him one to many times so he tried to have her killed, she escaped so she went to dathomir to see the mother and tell her how she was betrayed by dooku so she found the strongest male on the planet which happened to be mauls brother, savage. Not knowing that savage is working for the witch mother and ventress, he starts as dooku’s new assassin and apprentice. He kicks a lot of ass and kills a bunch of Jedi, ventress confronts dooku and tries to get savage to help her but he refuses and turns on them both and flees back to his home planet of dathomir, he then learns of his brother who is still alive and is given an amulet to help find him. He searches and eventually finds him on a scrap metal planet with a spider like leg setup with his mind lost, he brings him back to dathomir where the which mother restores his mind and gives him two bitching robotic legs. He swears vengeance on kenobi and the Jedi and also the sith for abandoning him. He starts his murderous rampage attracting the attention of the Jedi. He attempts to build an army of pirates and mercenaries. Maul and his brother are wounded by kenobi and hondo’s pirates. He escapes and is picked up by the death watch who are also enemies of the Jedi. Maul ends up conquering mandalore and is ruler with him and his brother until sidious finds out and kills his brother and captures maul. We don’t see maul again until the clone wars where he meets Ezra and teaches him to use his anger to gain access to an ancient sith temple. Ok I’m tired of typing, just watch the clone wars and rebels!! It’s worth it.

Anybody else see it and like/dislike it?

 

I saw it. Honestly, my favorite new Star Wars movie to date. This one felt like it belonged right alongside the originals to me. I think that Alden dude did a fantastic job of capturing Han's mannerisms.

 

That’s good to hear! Not my favorite, but I like how it was similar to Rogue One as in filling in back story.

 

Right, prior to this one, Rogue one was my favorite.

 

Ok, went to see Solo tonight and to my surprise it was a lot better than I thought. Really liked how they filmed the movie and gave it a Rogue One type feel. Seeing Maul towards the end and having Ray Park play him was really cool. That brought back memories of the Clone Wars and Rebels. Rogue One is still my favorite of the new stuff, but this is definitely second.

 

Loved this episode and how the Emperor knew he had to take control and change what was happening. My sons were bumped because they really liked Savage Opress.

 

I literally screamed “nooooooooo!!!!!” At my tv when sidious killed savage. I was kind of hoping maul would’ve at least done some damage with the black saber.

 

I know... I knew he couldn't beat the Emperor, but I thought for sure he'd take it to him with the black saber.
