Thanks again all. Took her out for a mild drive on a roughish road (Goose Lake road out of Red River, NM). A bit lower than I thought, drug the predator side boards a few times, anybody know how those things hold up? They didn't bend or anything, but either the steps are coming off, or the whole thing replaced with sliders eventually. They hang down quite a bit and it was the lower steps that were grinding.
Anywho, planning on just driving it as is for awhile, Snugtop shell on order that should be here upon my return from SoCal. Gonna put some road miles on her this week :).
I threw on some seat covers to protect the new seats, note to self... Neoprene is a dog hair magnet. Oh well, I guess I am too.
Been checking out all of the build threads, some great inspiration ans ideas to incorporate into my upcoming bed/drawer build this summer.
I'll be throwing an old prinsu design rack on when the shell comes in, some heretic light bars, and a bull bar for front end protection until I can afford a real bumper. Will likely go rear first anyway with a swing out for gas and camping set up (my main focus is midweek 3-4 day camping to fish/float/climb/bike/explore as I work the weekends).
I'll post some pics of the LB upon my return from SoCal.
Great to be here again, thanks for the welcome.
