I did make one upgrade, I swapped out the wing nuts for these

I need to use a slightly shorter carriage bolt so its less effort taking off the knobs.

 

1/4"-20 threaded rod coupling nuts just fit through the mount holes in the TREDs. I use those to keep a stack of 4 TREDs in position on a bed crossbar, then two ratchet straps around the whole mess.

 

For anyone who's interested since I had a few posts about it. Bled my brakes 2 more times. Feel fanfuckintastic now.

 

Im somewhat familiar with this, they mentioned it in a book I read a couple months back.

Are they better than wing nuts? I saw @CrashN'Burn seriously struggle with his in a snowstorm this past winter. I used small ratchet straps and had my tread deployed in minutes.
