I carry either a G42 or a 1911... guns don't bother me, but the occasional idiot that has no idea what he's doing does.

Seems like it... even though I'm selling my Taco. I'm keeping my 80 series though, so still lots of wheeling and Toyota stuff. The AZTW crew I usually hang with includes 1 Taco, 1 4th gen 4Runner, 1 GX470, and my FZJ80.

We’re not too bias. There’s also a Missouri 4wd group that’s a mix of different makes and models.

I live in an apartment downtown. It's pretty nice. Sucks I don't have a garage to work on cars, but that's what @G.T. is for!

Now accepting monetary donations for mods!
As far as schools go. Can't go wrong with any home in the rockwood school district, parkway, or zumwalt. I'm biased on rockwood school district. Private schools are another story but theres a good handful of reputable ones.

If you choose stl talk to some of us natives on the burbs where you can find the real reasonable housing. your average quality 2000sqft house with a basement runs anywhere from 150k to 250k. Taxes aren't too bad.

I was looking at Arnold, crime maps show it as mostly safe. If I can find a couple acres that would be my preference. I want to build an epic workshop with a lift and whatnot for mod days.

I have a meeting with the hiring manager tomorrow to discuss the opportunity. If I do decide on going to STL I'll be spending a lot of time on here.
How is the wheeling in the area? Southern AZ is mostly rock crawling or desert stuff.

So I've listed the negatives on STL, how about some positives?

-Lots of free stuff to do, much of it is family friendly.
-We have a pretty good Toyota group here, many of us are good friends
-some of the lowest cost of living in the country
    -cheap gas
-while people still complain about the heavy traffic here, it's actually not bad at all. STL highways were designed pretty well. Nothing like Chicago or Atlanta.
-firearm regulations are pretty conservative unlike Illinois.
-while the people here are weird, most are friendly, I've never had any major issues.
-best school districts in Missouri. I think Clayton and Parkway even ranked as one of the best in country.

We have a couple of places that are a lot of fun. They range from mild to crazy. Most are forest trails and some rock crawling. It all depends on where you go. No deserts around here.

I wouldn't mind the Phoenix area, but I'm not a big fan of Tucson, been here 3.5 years. There just aren't many jobs in my field in the nice parts of AZ.

I've had enough deserts... 18 months in Qatar gave me a lifetime of desert. Now I focus on desserts...
