Maybe? Might work as a defense, depending on the jury.

Prosecutor: "And why didn't you just run away from the alleged robber, Mr. PeelOut?
Banana: "Do I look like I'd win a footrace?"

    Edit-
Judge: "Let the record reflect that Mr. PeelOut is a man of...ample...stature"
Court Recorder: *Mr PeelOut is fat and was being rhetorical*

I'm familiar with the concept; I listen to the blues and Howlin' Wolf did a song about it (a cover of an even older Willie Dixon song)

Only a year? You've got plenty of time! The wife and I were married for almost 2 before she got pregnant, and had been together for like...9 years at that point. Plenty of time!

Miscarriages are actually exceedingly more common than you'd think. I think it's something like 1 in the 3 women at this point. Granted, sometimes a miscarriage happens when a woman doesn't even know she's pregnant yet, but they're not uncommon. We were lucky in the regard that we more or less had a start date and got pregnant right off the bat.

Small human is home and back to normal. She had a tough time post-op as she came out of the anesthesia too fast and she had another ear infection brewing so they had to suck out a lot of crud. She was in a world of hurt, and since she basically never really cries it was breaking my heart to see her in pain. She's totally normal now, so that's good. I've got her all weekend as the wife is in ME for her sister's bachelorette, so I'm basically getting nothing done.

I had taken down a few smaller birches last fall because they weren't looking too healthy and I could see them taking out a powerline or my roof. Mowing around the stumps has annoyed me.

Turns out my coworker has a stump grinder and he brought it in today so I could borrow it for the weekend! Debating on if I want to take anything else down while I have it.

Being fat is now a medical disease isn't it? So I think you are okay with that. Also, just "sprain" your ankle and say you couldn't run, shit say you have low pain tolerance and stubbed your toe the other day so your foot was sore. I don't think being a weakling is punishable by law.

Yeah we have plenty of time, but I wanted to have kids by 30, so I'm 3 years behind my life schedule and she wants kids too. Not to mention there will be some very happy grandparents as it will be the first for hers and they were asking before we even got married. My schedule changes pretty often tho, was made by me and is stored in my head, so there is no one to punish me:rofl:. Having kids by 30 was really one of the only things on it too, so I'm a little late, but in the long run, nothing to worry about and the list will get completed.

I am bad watching my dogs in pain, I cannot imagine having to deal with a kid hurting and not being able to do anything with it. I am sure I will have to, but I just don't want to. Good to hear that yours is doing better and hopefully she stays healthy for a long time!

He said he's done at least 100 stumps with it. He bought it because he couldn't justify $200/day to rent one.

Mine are probably only a foot across. I have two I'll definitely get rid of and two very small birches that I may take down while I'm at it.

I turned 34 two weeks after she was born. I got the house 6 days before I was 30.

Age ain’t nothin but a number, right?

if you use a weapon in self defense you do NOT provide aid to the offender. you wait for police/ems to arrive and do it. in NH anyway. otherwise it can be misconstrued that you didn't mean to shoot him or that we was not a real threat and you had remorse for your actions.

Don't shoot to kill or wound, shoot to stop the threat. if it takes killing them to stop the threat then so be it. legally you are safe that way.

you are allowed to draw a firearm in self defense and end up not needing to shoot the person if the threat is stopped with just the drawing of the weapon, but you should be justified to shoot if you draw.

in personal experience, I drew a pistol in self defense and did not shoot. the detectives that took my statement said they were surprised I DID NOT shoot. I didn't want go back to Afghanistan and explain that I shot a Civilian (Criminal) to my Chain of Command (Army).

Is that how the law is worded in NH regarding rendering aid? If the person is no longer a threat and you have the chance to help save them, you are obliged not to? Good point on shooting to stop the threat, not to kill/wound.
