Lower body panel rock chip protection options?

    I’m looking for options or suggestions for something to protect the lower portion of my doors from rock chips. The truck already has a thicker type of paint/ protectant down there but after 70k miles it’s starting to show wear. I was wondering if there is like a stick on plastic panel similar to the low profile rock chip protectors for hoods. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. Here is a photo of the area I’m talking about.

    That texture along the bottom is factory rock guard, it’s easy to touch up. You can get some clear vinyl to put over it for added protection.

    I'm not sure how well this will protect my truck but I had a local sign shop apply some vinyl wrap along bottom 15 inches of my truck. I went with carbon fiber which I think looks pretty good on my Spruce Mica.truck 1.jpg truck 2.jpg truck3.jpg

    It’s doing a very good job. I’m just worried over time it will rust, I live where they use lots of salt in the winter and I want to drive this thing for a long long time.

    Nope, don’t mind at all...That’s what we’re here for. Material was $248 and labor for application was $120. I thought that was pretty reasonable because I have 0 patience for tedious jobs like that.

    That would definitely reduce rock chips, only problem I see with that is I don’t think you could ever remove it.

    As far as the dimpled areas the sign shop said it wouldn’t be a problem.

    Looks Great. We live on a gravel road and a lot chips already with 11k miles on a 2018. Ours chips above the rock coating on the fender flare. Might need to find a sign shop.
