How was the weather around you? I saw Harrisonburg got hit hard with flooding, I’m guessing flagpole will be pretty sloppy

Two lakes aren't that bad, but both the North and South fork of the Shenandoah River are extremely high and muddy. I'm not near Harrisonburg tho. They got hammered with rain yesterday

 

I decided to just swim and lay back in my backyard with a few cold ones & tunes today...hydro-therapy for the back

 

If that was my backyard i i believe i would do the same

 

Haha the only thing that makes this a vacation is that I’m not working...a wedding and graduation to go to

 

Almost finished... electricity is in. Needs outside lights installed, gutters installed, insulated, then grading and gravel...

Well just got an updated updated quote from sterling hot rods of 13,960. Which is way up from the initial 8,500 and way down from the last 26,000 quote. I can tell already they are snakes in the grass. I read through the quote as well and it looks like they're not dissasembling anything to paint it either. I get the feeling they are the kind of shop you hear horror stories about.

 

I thought that hot rod place used to be a chopper place, but they changed recently. Anyways I never heard good reviews of that place.

I have a buddy that owns a corvette restoration shop outside of Hancock md. Prices are reasonable and his paintwork is great. I can’t promise turn around time as he’s is usually a year or two out but Pm me for info if your interested.

Edit: yours won’t be a year or two out... his restorations are booked that way. He could fit your all over steel job in much sooner.

 

I'm trying to set up a meeting with tom the owner next week. He was the one that initially quoted the job at 8500+ and knew my expectations then. He even said today that we came in under under the 2900$ body work budget by 350$.He still hasn't said why the price has even increased.

 

Maybe look for another shop?

 

Yeah. I wasn't a big fan of this place anyway but my boss is having work done there and they are right across the street from where my car is.
