That's still pretty good, I've seen a lot worse at the very least.

The first time I ever changed my own oil was on my 1996 Subaru Legacy Outback... hahaha good times.

I took the whole "spin the filter down until it touches the seating surface then 1/2 turn more" thing literally, and upon starting the car it straight up fired fresh oil in a perfect 360 degree gush of "OH SHIT STOPSTOPSTOP"

I don't make that mistake anymore. I know filters still say "until the gasket touches" but they can eat my ass. I get that chit down hand tight and then 3/4 turn. Never had a problem since, and can always get the filter back off with little fuss.

 

My experience with the Toyota filters on my truck has been hand tight and then 1/8th - 1/4 turn. No issues to date.

Yah well, I made a bomb ass grilled cheese.

 

Nah, pan fried in some butter with some thick bread and havarti cheese.

 

Didn’t have any it’s that newer Sara Lee something or other bread, it’s always super soft and good. But I do like me sourdough.

 

That lil grill session looks amazing! Poppers for me tomorrow.
