Hello everyone! Just created an account and will likely be joining the clan as an official member in the coming months with the hopeful purchase of a 2018 TRD Off-Road Double Cab Short Bed! I am not new to Tacos as we have two 09's in the family already and my brother Jack is an active member with his truck. I am looking for information on what accessories to buy from the get go. I currently drive a Powerstroke diesel and love the power so going down to the V6 is a big step for me. What realistic difference does an intake, exhaust, etc. make when it comes to power? In addition, I will be buying a tonneau cover, should I go with the Toyota tri-fold from the dealer or look into an aftermarket cover and what aftermarket cover do you recommend?

Thanks everyone, I look forward to getting more involved in the forum in the coming months!

    P.S. Jeeps SUCK

Welcome! I’m not much help in answering your questions, as I don’t own a 3rd gen. I’m sure more knowledgeable people will be along soon to help.

When I bought mine I haggled in some free accessories.

    1) Pro Grill
    2) Tub mats
    3) Tri-fold soft top Tonneau cover
    4) Winter tire package (tires/rims). They threw those in, I didn't haggle for them.

After that I replaced the Tweeters with the Subaru OEM tweeters (world of difference in sound imaging)

Welcome to the TW family! Sadly adding the performance mods you mentioned probably isn't going to make a huge difference, especially if you are used to a V8.
