    AMAZING!

First time doing the Dr Pepper can chicken, I did 2 DP and 1 beer. My kids said they could taste the difference and preferred the beer. I think they were all yummy.

Making chicken stock this morning out of the inedible chicken bits. The rest of the chicken will take part in a variety of meals over the next few days; Chicken tacos, chicken and dumplings, chicken and salad...

The only request from my son was to use the spicy rub next time.

Not to trivialize, but it's a piece of relatively soft plastic and it probably wouldn't have left the valve cover area.

I would have checked the funnel first.

My Father/Son car stories are depressing.

Got my first car at 18, saved and had a small Mutual Fund that I added in. My Father is a Mustang guy, insists I get a Mustang. I can't afford a decent Mustang. I'm looking at Civic CVCCs and Corollas.
He finds a shit hammered 81 Mustang 2.3L Notch and pressures me into buying it claiming I will have resources for parts and we'll work on it together. Buy it. He does nothing, I drive it, do a few things to it. I just started working at a parts store so now I do have resources. Car starts overheating, so bad that the exhaust manifold becomes a heating element, like cherry red. Head cracked, car is done. I get the head drilled and plugged, runs for a few more months and has me in tears. Car sits for almost a year, he starts yelling at me to move that piece of shit. (How rich!) I sell it for a fraction of what I spent over the prior year and ride a fucking bicycle for a year while I save again, go to the Ford dealer with 4K for a down payment, ignoring my idiot Father who wants me to get a 3.8L Mustang. Buy a brand new manual transmission Escort LX. I can't drive stick, best friend drives it back while I drive his automatic Accord. Best friend shows me how to drive stick instead of Father (another shitshow moment).

Later on, Dad has 91 Mustang LX Converible 5.0, complains to me about leaking rack and pinion. I read his Mustang magazines, I'm now a couple of years into an automotive career, I know some shit. His car is lowered on Racecraft suspension and when he lowered it, he never installed offset rack bushings. I knew this needed to happen, he didn't. I inform him, he tells me I'm a fucking idiot and don't know anything. A month later a set of rack bushings show up on the door step from Jegs.

I rubbed it in and he was pissed off even more when I brought it up.

    Yeah, I went Nitori, sorry.

    Contrast.

I am getting ready to do a wood working project with Ayden. He helped me get the materials, he is helping with the whole project. I won't be that same dude I grew up with.

That was a therapy session, not a Nitori post. :boink:

My dad and I never really saw eye to eye on the modding thing when I was growing up, his attitude was very "don't mess with it" and mine was "stock is a blank slate" and that kinda amplified a rift between us because of other stuff. Around my late 20's we worked most of that shit out though, and he came around and has cooked up some pretty cool ass mods of his own for BMWs and shit. He's crazy good with electronics. I'm just pretending to be 1/10th as good as he is. So there, uplifting story.:)

In other news I pulled my sway this afternoon, gonna drive around without it for a bit and see if it's too alarming with stock TRDOR coils.

    One thing I noticed though.

It doesn't look that much larger of a sway bar, but holy CRAP it is way heavier.

When people say "the OR has more body roll than the sport" now I know why- and it ain't the coil rates... :D
