Doors debadged. No more chrome. V6 badge was last week, wanted to black out the doors, but I think I'll stick with this instead. I've got the measurements incase I want to go back. 20180602_093452.jpg

Doors look so much cleaner without the huge TACOMA badge.

I've never debadged any vehicle before. This truck however needed it. The V6 badge just floats in mid air like an after thought. The Tacoma badges are big and bulky. And I have yet to see one that looks straight on any truck.

I’ve debadged every car I’ve owned except my M3. My wife won’t let me on her 17’ Runner Off-road either...

Click HERE. I didn’t take pics of the two screws you remove. It could just be one. I can’t remember but it’s on the underside of the mirror closest to the windshield. Super easy install. When I get my truck back, I can definitely take pics of everything but I know once you get it, you’ll know exactly what to do plus there are YouTube videos I’m sure of the install.

Well corporate is involved and they don’t seem too happy that my local dealership has been telling me all along that they have been involved in this process and have sent people out, because they haven’t. They also aren’t happy that I took my truck in back in January of 2017 for a concern with my transmission then as well and I was informed it was normal. Situation then was being stopped on a slight hill or a steep hill, didn’t matter, Truck will roll backwards in the transition period it takes to go from the brake to the gas and when you push on the gas, the transmission would do this gear searching noise while also continuing to roll backwards. Only way to stop it is to put your foot back on the brake and try again with pushing on the gas. I was informed that it was normal and part of the tracking system or something like that. Toyota was like interesting. I just said yeah so I try to avoid those situations as much as possible still today. They were extremely apologetic and basically told me that they don’t blame me for my frustration. Then they asked if I was given or offered a courtesy vehicle and I said no. They informed me that warranty will not pay for it and that it’s $25 a day. I also told them that everything they have been trying to blame the transmission issues on up to today works just fine. Let’s just say they aren’t too happy with the service I have been provided being a long lasting constomer of theirs and are investigating my situation. I should receive another call back from the case manager assigned to my situation on Tuesday.

Well it's time for you to put your foot down and try and get a 100k or 125k free extended warranty. They owe you something. Hell we are some of the early buyers who didn't get rid of the truck. Look how many people traded in theirs over transmission problems. I think there is still some of that going on today. Knock on wood mine has been pretty good. It did take 11 months, several other warranty repairs with Corporate intervention, and 2 TSB updates to get mine right. I was one of the lucky ones. I know the TSB's cover the transmissions to 80k.

Had to do the oil change today so I installed a fumoto valve and RCI skid plate. The skid is awesome!

You know I think that’s a great idea as well. Especially since I’m only at 28,000 and having these issues. What have been all of your repairs if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve had the original shifting TSB that came out shortly after I purchased my truck done and I also had to have my heater vent blower, whatever it’s called, replaced because it broke. I’d turn my climate control knob on and it would make an awful clicking sound so I couldn’t use it. Took it in and it broke. I have no idea how.
