i just bought an 05 and don’t use CDs so I tried installing a Bluetooth module, but it never powered on after I plugged it in to the stereo.

I tried seeing if a (store bought) CD would play and got an ERROR 1 message. I’ve read that this is either INTERNAL FAILURE or DIRTY DISC, I’m assuming it’s a failure.

I unplugged the Bluetooth module thinking maybe it was a POS China product, but still got the error.

So my question is, would an internal
failure issue also break the external port that I plugged the module in to?

If not, I’ll pick up a used stereo on eBay and keep this module and see if I can get Bluetooth going finally.

    Thanks in advance!
