Seems like half of the fish I catch on jigs grab the bait before it hits bottom. Especially big ones! I usually let my jigs sink before I start moving them. I love that moment where I start to wonder when it's going to finally hit bottom, and then realize it's swimming away!

For creatures and plastics, baby bass, green pumpkin, watermelon, and black/blue. Depending on water color/clarity

Ha! I like the look of june bug. I buy the watermelon with red flake also. My girlfriend makes fun of me because I like lures with "sparkles"

I'll have to look. Not color as much as styles of baits I don't like. Some Cabelas brand stuff mostly

As far as creature baits, y'all should try flipping the TightlinesUV hybrid hog, or the Scott martin punch. 2 KILLER creatures

To me in a creature bait it's hard to beat a Brushhog. I make my own but Junebug and Watermelon red are killers here.

Ive caught more bass on Junebug senko than any other lure combined. Second is the watermelon w/red flake. Ive been finding others that are working when the first two dont but not as good as June bug and watermelon.

I just recently discovered what you've known for a long time. I have tried every lure you can think of for LM and SM bass and it's always hit or miss, but these little grubs seem to have been pretty consistent the last 3-4 trips.
