I went with the 5100's in the rear, on lowest setting. I love the ride.

The hardware, top mount plate with coil isolator, cushions, washers, are all on the factory coilovers and can be reused if Ya disassemble them. For me, it was worth the 100 buck to buy the coilovers pre assembled.

Unless you have the tools and machine to put that coil on over the shock (usually someone asking so many questions doesn’t) I’d buy that puppy preassembled.

KYB SM5640, but I would call and make sure you get the right ones for your truck if you are going to assemble them yourself.

Its actually not that bad. They have the cheapest prices. I live 40 minutes from the boarder and ordered dakars, uca's on sale and other shit from them to my p.o. box in niagara falls NY. Only paid tax n duty on some of the things so it was worth it. So depends how you do it

Yeah that works out for ya. I don’t live that close to the boarder or have a P.o. box. So by the time you add that in, gas, time to do it all it just didn’t make sense

If I go with this setup, do you guys think 285/65/18 or 275/65/18 would be the best bet? I got a steal on some brand new 18" XD Monster's with -12 offset, so I am definitely getting a tire that fits a 18" rim. Dont worry, I dont offroad with it. I have a double cab LB. If I get the 285's, it would require trimming right? Is there any reason the 275's are so rare, or is it just because there arent as many available... I am going to get Falken Wildpeak AT3W's and they sell them in both sizes

Similar situation. From everything I’ve read in here 275 isn’t common 1 because there is less of a selection, and 2 because anything over 265 you risk the rubbing and if you have to modify then you may as well go 275.
Now personally I wouldn’t go 285. I think it’s a bit much and I am considering to go 275/65 just to gain more sidewall. But the question becomes you you risk it rubbing to gain 3/16 more sidewall ?

I am going to remove mud flaps either way, and I would rather trim a little than go with 265's. I have a double cab LB, and 265's just look a little too small. From what I understand, having the -12 offset will help give a little more room, so that might give me a little more room to work with as well. I could be wrong there though

    Quick question.

Have SEMA rims with 265/70/17 and had no issue with rubbing until putting the 5100's and 887 springs on ... stock suspension didn't rub, once I removed the mud flap ... first day of really driving with the new suspension and rubbed twice at full left turn while braking. I know very little about suspensions ... any thoughts on cause and remedy?

i just installed some ome 887 springs on my 5100 (3rd gen) struts and they seem way too long, they are seated properly in the spring perch but the spring is bending instead of compressing, and its close to rubbing the strut body. I dont know how these are supposed to fit on these struts..
i finished the install and its incredibly bouncy and i have like 3 inches of lift up front now. I made sure the perch was set on the lowest setting before installing the springs. Anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?
