    Exactly what @OnHartung'sRoad said.

0* Nerf Bars. They are flat and meant to be steps.

20* Sliders. They go up. I think 20* is as high as people make them but I may be wrong. Some like them at 0*, 5*, or 15*. It's all about preference. I wanted kickers and think at 0* they stick out too much, so I went with 20*.

Thank you for the detailed info!! Do/can you use your sliders that are at 20 degrees as steps at all?

Just as a comparison, here’s mine at 5-degrees. Unlike my OEM tube steps, I can stand on these with my hiking and steel toed work boots on and have already taken some rock hits safely (built and installed by @Shmellmopwho in Lomita, SoCal - I highly recommend him as a local fab/installer):

Yes I can. I thought I wouldn't be able to but I can still step on them. Although I am getting some grip tape to put on them.

Ryan (Shmellmopwho) can customize the angles, I think Mobtown will also, so you can order how you want them.

Your truck is really sharp looking. Thanks for adding our sliders.

The distance below the door and rocker panel is also affected by the placement of the hoop assembly to the mount plate. In the design, you can raise or lower that. There are a couple other factors too. But in the end the top of the tubing is in roughly the same place on all sliders. I would limit your decision to deciding between 0° and whatever angle the manufacture offers standard. Basically it comes down to do you want it to be more of a step or slightly more clearance. All the angles in between don't really make a huge difference to the function.

Great info! I wish somebody would do this for the 2nd gen. I really want to get Mobtowns, but nobody has any real measurements like this.

The measurements from the frame are exactly the same for the 2nd gen. The measurements from the door and sill are very close to the same as well.

Do you think these will still function as steps for tiny little feet? I'm looking to add these on mine, but it has to be kid friendly

My kids have no problems. They are 12, 9, & 7. Just be aware that filler plates would make them more kid/pet friendly.

Nice rig... Mobtown will get my business when it comes time to buy sliders after I get a lift. They seem to be the most responsive vendor around. That's the kinda people I like to do business with.
