Man, thats good for 37s! That 250mpt was from Oahu? Do you do more uphill driving here? How bout highway type driving or sitting in traffic? Ohh and are you using efree?

I remember when I first got this truck in 09, something like 24mpg but all highway. That orange light came on going up saddle rd, still drove it up mauna kea and back to kona(going the old way). I havent driven it much recently but am alittle bummed at how much gas it eats driving waimea to kona compared to the older toyota. I cant remember, but it was pretty decent with the 33" swampers before and it sucked when the 35" baja claws were on. Ive got 285s on now, but its a toss up if I want that extra bit of ground clearance or travel a few more miles per tank. :anonymous:

I used to get like 27 mpg with 28" tires.

    them were the good days

I remember right after I lifted the truck and threw the KM2s on, and thinking

"Wow i cant coast for shit now, I gotta be gassing it all the time"

then I remember thinking, for the very first time

"Jesus fuck, did I use up a whole tank of gas in 4 days?"

Id get close to 300 miles per tank on Oahu with the 35s. Not much traffic up here, but lots of climbing hills :D

    Hill climbs…

I was thinking of regearing this rear end, but since my trucks a prerunner, always wanted to make it 4wd….and just go 8 lug. I love how your truck is, but if it came down to it, theres a diesel taco in kona and kinda wouldnt mind more torque for carryig weight and them hill climbs

I know this is a long shot but is anyone shipping a container from Big Island to Seattle and would want to split it? I have three pieces of furniture to send and the price for just those three items is crazy.

Hawaii Wildlife fund does it as often as possible, if anyone has time to volunteer…or if youre in the area, dont hesitate to haul whatever you can out. Please dont haul out rocks or sand from the area please. ;)

Im sad for Kapoho, 4corners, green lake, Waiopae, Ahalanui, Malama ki, but last I heard…pohoiki still stands. A sand bar infront, but the ramp and the iconic red house stands.

I had to come on here the other week to dig out the photo of my truck down Pohoiki when had the 2 hurricanes…maybe one day, maybe soon, can ramble down there. Id like it unpaved too, come by ocean or come by land, but dont pave it.
