I had the option of the dropped linex liner at the tailgate. I think it looks better than a straight line.

What's the 2wd 5spd trans that our trucks got?

 

V6 or 4cyl?

Why? If you are looking to manual swap I would suggest looking into the R155 and getting a new bell housing because thE R series is a strong tranny.
But its easier to put a w59 in but you will need a new ecu either way for you truck

 

That is exactly what I'm wanting to do. Sure it'd be nice to do a 4x4 conversion at the same time, but I don't really need it. Hence why I'm looking for the 2wd version

 

If th tranny has a F after it then it was menat for 4wd so w59 vs w59f. But remember the auto is tired into the ecu so without it your truck will throw codes unless you trick it into thinking you are in reverse. So you will also need a ecu from the same year from a manual truck.
Im sure @BartMaster1234 can tell you more about what it takes to 4x4 swap because he has done it

 

Manual swapping was a pain, crossmember aren't in the right spot on a 4cyl either so you have to move it or make your own.

R to w series bell housing for 3rz engines

 

It's just the stock 2tr bell housing because the 2tr is just a 3rz bottom with a VVTi head

You gotta do the 4WD swap man. It’s been six months and I haven’t taken it off road yet but I already have no regrets. Lol.

In all seriousness, it was a really fun and rewarding experience. I highly reccomend it.

 

How? I can't imagine not using 4wd once a week haha

 

i need to get around to doing my fathers 4wd swap... i'll be pulling the trans apart and swaping output shafts though.. keep it all numbers matching... and the trans is in great shape..

 

Man te only way i can 4wd swap is to sas swap
