I grew up breeding siamese cats with my grandmother so I take to them a lot. A couple days after I moved to Kansas City I found out there was a siamese rescue in town and adopted a cat that day. Her name was Kooky Kiska (I know). I was trying to think of another K name and realized he had a kink in her tail, so that is her name, Kink. We adopted her a year ago, shes approximately 2 1/2 now. She doesn't like anyone except for my husband and I. She's never attacked anyone and she will let you pet her but she is very shy. I think she must have had past owners that were very strict. She's extremely obedient. She has a hell of a personality, and absolutely loves fetch. Pet her anywhere just don't touch the nipples, anything but the nipples.

I especially like how talkative they tend to be. Really makes them feel like another family member haha

I’ve heard that they can become very protective? Is this true?

i wouldn't mind keeping Jerry inside all day but he insists on going out. i settled on leaving the bathroom window half open so he can come in at night to sleep and go out at 5 am when he gets up. everyone wins!

My lil homie Moe. Have had him for 13 years. A few years ago he was diagnosed as a diabetic, meaning I had to give him a needle twice a day, also meaning that if I wanted to go road trippin’ the “easiest” thing to do was bring him. The second pic is us in the mountains which is a four hour drive from home. Thankfully he is no longer diabetic, but he is still quite a champ!DC207E42-3175-4FF6-AF6D-16856560EA20.jpg

Yeah but I think that's true for most animals who get attached. Mine's never been aggressive to anyone but when my husband giggles the front door knob at night she will slump down and stand in the doorway wherever I am and make this weird grumbling noise. Like a growl but real quiet. She knows if anyone but him came up the stairs she'd dart under my bed anyways idk what she think she's doing lol. She's the most shy siamese I've ever seen. For the first couple days after we adopted her she acted like we were going to hit her every time we reached for the poor thing.

No longer diabetic? You really lucked out haha. I've never injected a cat with insulin myself but I work in a pharmacy so I know a lot of people who come in regularly that do. I respect that kind of dedication! I can't imagine my cat would even let me test her blood glucose, considering it has anything to do with the ears, god forbid lol.

She probably thinks her “fierce” growl will scare anyone/anything away.
Sounds like she’s a sweety and knows she found a good home.

Haha thanks! Testing the blood glucose IMO was tougher than the injections (just wait til he’s eating haha). Luckily my girlfriend is a nurse, so she’s a massive help.

Saw this at the park today.
Has no eyelids.... I didn't lift glasses to see.
Can't control body temperature either. Total sweetheart though.

Yours looks a bit like our Suki. What a beautiful cat you’ve got. Ours is the princess of the house loves having her belly scratched and even spreads her paws apart so they can be rubbed too. Our Amos has a kink in his tail and we always figured It got broken as a baby somehow but I’m hearing that might just be a trait of meezers. image.jpg

Kinked tails are a mostly breed out trait for siamese but some of them are still around. Depends on the kink, if it bothers them when you touch it, then it was probably broken. If they look at you like wtf human thats my tail, it's genetic haha. This is my first siamese with a kink in the tail.
