I swear I put on 5 lbs this weekend.

So........last week was a crappy week at work.

I'd worked some on the weekend off prior..... to come in prepare a 45 minute presentation that five of my employees would make to the senior management staff.

Tweaked it time and time again to best fit each of my peeps....the presenters.

We had it dialed in and ready to rock. The presentation date was scheduled for last Wednesday....a workday. All were there...nervous....yet ready to give it their best.

Was told that there was a hitch and that we needed reschedule at a time that best fit our senior management.....and it had to be done in the month of May.

No problem, except my folks were about to get off for a long 7-day Memorial Day weekend break.

The only chance I had to to meet the "by the end of May" demand was to ask them to come in on their time off and do the flipping presentation.

My whole long weekend had this overshadowing everything......worried about this work crap got in the way of fully enjoying my family time......knowing that it was also messing with their time really ground my gears. I get paid to speak in front of groups......they don't. Hell, I don't like doing it..........but they fear it.

So today.....on their day off........the fearless 5 came in.......along with 16 of their coworkers to support them. Senior management group showed up late and made excuses.

My folks gave the presentation and FREAKING NAILED IT !!!!!!!!





I say all of that to say this..............I ordered this meat rub over the weekend...while I was at home and wanting to simply fast forward to getting this damn presentation over with.



Today after getting home from work.....on my day off.....after the kickass presentation was delivered........I cracked open a cold beer and went through the mail.

At some point another beer was had and then upon pouring the third I went out took the trash out and checked the mailbox.........guess what was in there waiting on me !!!!!





I recently did a big chicken cook for my work folks.......gonna think of something else to do for them soon....and THIS rub will be used !!!!


Just gotta figure out what it will be.

It has been some crazy times at work lately that have thwarted my ability to fully engage in fun stuff on my off time.

Today that has been alleviated a great deal. Looking forward to getting back to work tomorrow and kicking ass..........then having big fun on my next days off.



Life is good.






Can't wait to fire up the smoker in the driveway while I work on some backlogged mods on my Tacoma.

Boxes have been showing up in the mail and they contain parts that are screaming to get put on my truck !!!!!

 

Happy to report the glass passed the most important test... Exactly 4 oz of Jack to the bottom of the graphic. Plus 12 oz Coke equals perfect glass

Inadvertent as it may have been, that's kind of nice is the logo works out just so for liquor measurements .

So.........tried this rub on home fries and liked it mightily.

Have the day off today and my wife just got home from a 12 day 3 state trip. Her RAV4 is dirty and my Taco could use a good cleaning.......perfect time to smoke a couple slabs of baby backs loaded down with this rub. Gonna be a solid test run.

It's got some real-deal-no-kidding heat.......that I'll likely really enjoy. Probably do one rack with sauce and the other nekkid.

 

Just re-stocked on spicy, website looks good and runs smoothly, easy order process. Glad to see my thighs are still in the featured pictures, haha!

 

@bvbull200 What's the difference between the spicy meat massage and the spicy rub? Remember I didn't care for the rub, too sweet. Is the massage sweet too?

Yeah, I need to do some minor refreshing on the page, but those sexy thighs aren't going anywhere! Glad to hear everything ran smoothly. We certainly have some opportunities regarding the mobile version of the site, but the web version seems pretty good! Thanks for the order. Just packaged everything up .

Meat Massage is just the go-to-market name for the rub that you tried. We're now getting it commercially packaged, but it's the same stuff. The spicy version basically uses a spicier version of some ingredients (hot chili powder vs mild, hot paprika vs sweet) and then kicks it up a tad on some of the spicier ingredients. The first 1/2 to full second of flavor is identical, then the spicy keeps coming at you. We wanted that, though. Signature flavor isn't lost in pursuit of heat.

That said, it is still a sweeter rub, so I'm afraid it won't appeal to you any differently. That said, I'm still going to try to win you back when we get our savory rub finalized. I feel like we've been 90% of the way there forever, but grinding out the last bit to get it ready to go has been tough. You're definitely on the sample list, though, when I test it out .
