I just finished up the build on my custom RTT rack that fits over my Softopper and wanted to share some pictures. The goal of the build was to make a rack that was easy to take on and off unlike the all pro rack. I used bushings so I can take out two bolts and hinge the rack over to one side to lower or raise the Softopper.

I also attached a simple cad drawing if anyone is interested in measurements to make their own.

Thanks to 90yota for his help and design.

    Questions:
Did you make the bushing mounts attached to the 4x4 angle yourself?
Do you have a parts list for the bushings and bolts or links to what you used?

I realize this is an old thread but I wanted to stop by and say thanks for the write up and the diagram I used it to build a rack for my truck this weekend.
I built mine for a long bed though so mine is about 6' long. All in all I followed your write up almost to a T.

For reference I used 12 gauge 4x4 angle bent by a local metal supplier, Its just slightly thinner than 1/8" 4x4 so I will see how it holds up. I also used 1/4" gusset tabs and 2.5" bushings from summit racing for the mounts to the angle. 9/16" grade 8 bolts to connect the rack to the rails.
