It was a different time for my kids but they didn't get smart phones for while .They had flip phones lol . They didn't get smart phones till 9th grade and even then they had no data. They had unlimited talk and text and Wifi data (at home). My daughter used to beg for data. I told her if she wanted data she could pay for it. Silence on her side .
The longer you can keep your kids away from social media the better they will be.

Some Ebay store on the east coast.. warranty and all. We'll see once it's all running...

And will do. Going from the Onkyo to Yamaha seems a little odd, but with the features and price, the Yamaha was hard to beat.

Nice! That price is definitely worth it. Couldn't resist ourselves.

Found this gif and it’s spot on. I noticed my daughter had a little piece of a toenail that split off, my wife always takes care of this stuff but she was busy with the newborn so I decided I’d just do it even though I hate doing it. I get close to her toe and she yells “OUCH”, I get startled and I’m like what happened she says “nothing” and laughs.

We added a line when my oldest was like 8, and they were given the phoen when home alone, with just our numbers programmed on it. At 11 my oldest got her own, and my youngest got her own at 10.

We chose Apple because 1) Find my iPhone. 2) I can change their Apple ID PW to lock them out of shit if they get in trouble, 3) we all share the same Apple store account, so any app the get downloads straight to my phone too so I can see it, 4) they have iPads at home (our old ones set up with their IDS), and we can use that to monitor most things remotely.

Yeah... I don't have kids but just look at the tide pod challenge and the condom challenge. Kids just soak that stuff in.

I bought the LG 55B6P back in 2016 when my Pioneer Kuro Elite Plasma finally shat the bed after almost a decade... B6P is basically the same display aside from a different HDR engine in the B7A.

Hoooly SHIT it is an amazing TV. :headbang: I was glad to be reunited with it here in AZ, I considered just getting a wal-mart TV but instead I spent the money on a courier service to ship my kickass one out here.

The Kuro was an imposing beast but hopefully it's living a good life with its new owner... guy bought it as a project to fix the X/Y driver that had failed. I genuinely hope he got it working, it's STILL a badass TV over a decade later and he will have got it for an insanely good price.

Roka Akor is good. If you're near downtown Phoenix, I like Nobuo. Scottsdale, Virtu. And the chicken and vibe is good at Bandera. Not super fancy, but nice.
