    Anyone know where i can get the modular microphone jacks? also does anyone make a typical switch blank that accepts the RJ connector?

    Someone can correct me here if I’m wrong but those are RJ-45 connectors. Which are an 8 pin connection. The mic in the op’s post is a six pin connection which would be an RJ-11 connection such as this

    Has anyone been using this radio to show GPS locations while out on the trail? Specifically i am looking to plot GPS coordinates onto a map. I think I can do this on a windows 10 tablet/laptop and APRS32. I am just looking to see if anyone has any good photos of their control center in their cab...

    That's just an inline coupler for connecting two RJ45 male ends. If you're looking for the insert like OP is using you need and keystone coupler and if I remember correctly Kenwood uses an 8 pin mic meaning you need an RJ45 keystone coupler as opposed to the RJ11/12 linked above.

    Perfect. That's what was hoping. Just picked up enough cable to route behind the dash and I'll use my own mic for the front side of the coupler. Now just for a mic holder and I'll be golden.

    I love this setup, just wish I didn't have that cubby taken up by a switchpro so I could fit the double keystone piece in there instead. Really hard to find another good spot for the rj11 and mic holder, especially since I'm a lefty.
