Not to take anything away from the significance of this day for veterans but as a side note,today June 6, 2018, my mother, if she were still alive, would be 102 years old.

Her name was Dorothy so as kids we would joke that D-day must have been named after her.

RIP Mom.

Oh. Heelers are self sufficient. Smart as hell to. Sometimes a little too smart for their own good. But they are busy. I’ve had three. The second one I got a doggy door. Got tired of getting up every 5 minutes to let the dog out just so it could sniff the air.
Another thing they do. Every one I’ve had did it. If they can get it they will take it outside. Shoes, slippers, socks, wife’s underwear ,bath towels, couch pillows, blankets,tv remotes.
I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve hunted for a remote only to find it in the middle of the back yard.
I also gave up chasing down a pair of shoes and a pair of slippers and just let the dog have them and went and got new ones.

And very loyal. Mine would keep my friends herded up. She wouldn’t listen to the wife, when she could see me. Then when I’m gone she would listen to her.

GC messaged last night and he has found windows for the Florida room at 1/5 the original $$$$ I was quoted and AC contractor has penciled us in for mid to end of July ............

Life moves on and we just have to enjoy the "Ride"

 

I just came in. doe n fawn been hanging around yard. she ate ALL my beans!! getting ready to put in another row now. i dont have a fence. ill send you a pic of my dads soon. electric fence, clear plastic ,flood lite and siren on motion detector. like a damn prision. then he hangs aluminum foil with peanut butter on fence to knock shit out of them

 

My dad installed an 8’ tall fence around his garden. It’s electricfied, it’s a weed burner so it catches the raccoons as well when they try to sneak under.

Currently at 1021hrs 81° , clear skies and high temp of 81° . Also very windy today with 23mph winds from the SSW

 

I like. dad has a low wire too thats a grass burner. you wouldnt pee on it but once for sure

 

the old man is 84 and a hoot. and yes a pump up .177 pellet gun will kill a deer. got on him for that. another story for another day
