Thanks guys! I have Wells Fargo and saw my Fico score, but was looking for a more in-depth report.

    ...too much shit to list.
Not really a point to doing that. A full report will count as an inquiry on your credit report/score. Multiple inquiries have a negative effect on you from a lender perspective.

Just go do the paperwork for your loan if you are good with your score. By law, if a lender runs your credit, they are required to provide you with a copy of the report if you ask for it.

    Random Question:

I'm looking to set up a budget friendly 2 camera WIRED (POE) monitoring system.

    1. Is there a wireless router with POE capabilities? (trying to avoid getting a switch)
    2. CAT5 vs CAT6? (i have tons of uncut CAT5)
    3. Camera recommendations? (So far, Reolink is the only one I've seen where you can buy a la carte)

    thanks!

Negative ghost rider. He can go to free annual credit report .com and check it without an inquiry if he wants to see his activity. Also a credit report must be provided with mortgage loans, not consumer.

I use the Mint app. I dont think it really is an in depth report like @SCRunner12 is looking for, but it let's you know the general ups and downs of your report and what your score is. I'm very happy with where I'm at compared to a year ago. Thanks @Fernando

Funny you bring this up, been debating getting a security system for a while now. Well we have had cars getting broken into now that schools out in my area so was browsing this morning on cameras.

    1. For a Wireless Router w/ PoE capabilities, not sure off the top of my head, but you could easily buy PoE injectors. Those usually run like $10-15 a piece.

    2. Cat5 v Cat6 debate....I mean your not gonna get Gigabit speeds out of it unless all your devices are running it w/ Cat 6. The only benefit I could see to using Cat 6 over 5 would be that Cat 6 is usually better when it comes to interference, i.e. running the cabling past power lines, lights, etc. (although I don't see it being enough for you to not use what you have and go out and buy Cat 6)

    3. As far as Cameras, I've been looking at Ring. But that's just me. Let me know what you find!

The injectors will do POe and plug directly to my existing routers?

Didn’t know Rind had wired POe cams; I’ll check them out

Correct, they can plug into a power strip and plug from your router into the PoE Injector, and then out of the PoE Injector to the end device (camera).

Rings are Wireless, I'd really like to keep with a wired solution as I've got a server sitting at home with over 16TB of storage on it and not being used.

With some patience and elbow grease, you can get a decent finish from a spray can.

    1. If you are using a DVR/NVR then it likely has POE built in. If not, you can buy a 4 port POE switch off Amazon for less than $40 and provide an additional port for another camera (maybe 2 depending on your network design and uplink design in the switch you choose).

    2. I work in IT and have installed a lot of camera systems. Cat5e is MORE THAN sufficient for gigabit ethernet at up to 330 ft (100 meters) with PoE. If you are going to go 10Gig Ether (I highly doubt you are most internet is not capable of running past gig ether speeds), then you will need Cat6A. Your best bet is shielded Cat5e (Foil Twisted Pair - FTP) if you are running it alongside electrical wires, etc. If you are crossing electrical wires at 90 degree angles, any cat5 is fine (in my professional opinion, and for the most part any Cat5 will work for your setup). My question is, how are you recording video? NVR/DVR, SD Card, PCIe card in your pc, etc....

    3. Ring is okay if your internet has good upload speeds. Given the price of ring cameras, you can buy a Lorex System with a DVR and 2-4 cameras for the same price as two ring flood light cameras. You can also go completely wire free with lorex (https://www.lorextechnology.com/hd-...echargeable-wire-free-cameras/LWF1080B-62-1-p)...

Any IP camera will work (see Axis cameras on amazon), it is the recorder that will dictate what you need.

A 4 camera (4 channel dvr) traditional Security Camera system is $249.99.. (https://www.lorextechnology.com/hd-dvr-mpx-cameras/4mp-hd-camera-home-security-system/2KMPX44-1-p)

A 4 IP Camera kit is: https://www.lorextechnology.com/hd-...ity-camera-system-with-ip-cameras/HDIP44D-1-p... that DVR has 4 PoE ports built in...

I am not affiliated with Lorex, but for home users it is a better option than the Commercial/Professional options available and will more than meet your needs. Their mobile app has gotten a lot better since FLIR bought them a few years ago.
