As the title says, will a double cab shortbed fit into an 18 foot garage? According to Toyota it comes in around 17' 7" but would like to know if anyone has any personal experience.

Looking at renting a new place and want to make sure it will fit.

Any feedback will be great appreciated.

I have an access cab, but same length as dcsb (212.3). The side of my garage I park on is 19ft and I have about 15in of space between the bumper and wall. Might be a tight fit in 18ft, but should be doable.

I mean, It'll fit...but look at how small 5 inches is on a ruler.

Can you see the place before you move in? Make sure the 18ft doesn't include the inch worth of hinges on the back of the garage door.

Test drive and test fit for yourself. Is 18' inside measurement. Most garages and building give outside measurements. Example 24'x24' garage, is outside measurements, so you have to subtract wall thickness.

All very valid points. I unfortunately probably won't get a chance to try it until closer to move in when it may be too late. My gut is kind of leaning towards it being less than ideal though.

Sounds like a lot to lose if it doesn't work out for you.

old man emu, nitrocharger shocks, darkar leaf springs, bbs wheels, access tonneau cover, laufen AT 275/65/18,
my dclb barely fits in my 19' garage, but when I want it in I get it to fit, I just have to be careful and take off my trailer hitch and go around my truck before closing the door down, none of it is ideal, but it works at the very least.

If you just need it inside and aren’t planning on doing work with the door closed, why not if it’ll fit. I’m in oklahoma so hail is a big “IF” during the spring months. I moved a workbench and a refrigerator to another wall just to make mine fit inside the garage.

I back in and I can watch the camera and park within a inch or so. I have about an extra 8 inches to play with total . NO problem ! The key is backing in and having something in the camera view to gauge to .
