Son of a ..... Buddy hit my price ($500 over cost). This bad boy works out to approx $7k less than the Pro. It's got the Premium and Tech packages, sunroof, etc. Plus the front tint (don't care) and 3M clear dealio on the front. I think I have no choice now. Grrrr.

You need to expand your search. I paid $600 over invoice for my pro, and i'd never do black but that's a preference thing.

Everything I own (well with the exception of a '78 Bug) is black (or black and white). Well, my current Stupidru daily driver (that I hate like I've hated never before) is dark graphite, but let's forget about that POS. Me likes black. This is $500 over cost (friend owns the dealership, but can't get me a Pro in a reasonable amount of time). Approx $3500 under MSRP.

Laughing my arse off. Texted the wife. Even after 27 yrs, she sometimes surprises me. She said get the Pro. I guess she's ridden in Baja enough to know the value of quality shocks (or knows BS when she sees it like when say I won't upgrade the OR).

That was why I went with a Pro.

I dont have an 18, but at the time I had the choice of a fully loaded OR in inferno (badass color) or a PRO. Both with a 6 speed. The choice was obvious after driving it and concluding that I am most likely to keep it stock since its a 3rd vehicle.

Exhaust, wheels, skidplate, and cool blacked out lights for mall crawling and more than capable enough for most people offroad. Its unique and in the 7 months I have owned it, I have seen only 3 other pros. Guaranteed will keep its value in good shape, especially if the manuals get nixed.
    Manual PRO is best combo.:burnrubber:

The Pro gave me the suspension I wanted and time to invest in other areas. I was going to spend the money in addition to the OR to get the suspension anyway, plus I managed to get my Pro used (somehow the Toyota dealer sold it to an old lady who then traded it in on a BMW) and I got it for a great price. So now I can put the money into bumpers and other stuff before I revisit the suspension. I love the shocks too, they just glide over everything.

I could care less about the prestige, but the suspension, the wheels, and other little things like the Rigid fogs were enough for me. I do miss the sunroof though. :(

You couldn’t handle a black vehicle.
You seem like a white or a silver kind of driver.

90% of OR owners would trade crawl control for a hood scoop in a heartbeat. Probably throw in their lockers too.

Also many view the sunroof delete as a plus. At least I do. More headroom, SLICCTOP status , no chance of leaks. Loved the fact that they didnt force it in the pro.

Done and done. Deposit on the white Pro. There was a black Pro semi locally, but got really tired of the typical car sales BS. The white one was hassle free. White? For me? I would have never thunk it, but there's enough black bits on it to work. Should see between the 12th and 16th. Thanks all for the input, but turns out, I really only needed to ask my wife it seems. ;-)

I’m way late to this party, but...
I’m sure you will not regret the pro purchase! I know it’s been said already, but...Yes, you could “build” a pro suspension on an OR, but it will never make the resale go above a used OR resale.
I have to say that the fox suspension is the perfect blend of the best traits of the OR, and the Sport combined. I test drove all three before buying. It’s plush, but not wallowy. Controlled handling, but not harsh over rough stuff....PERFECT!

    Big congrats!

I got the pro because when I saw the blue I thought it was something different and liked it. I also like that I get the sport hood, pro grill, trd exhaust and rigid fogs. I do wish it had sunroof! Im happy and would of been extremely happy with the OR also and got the sun roof. Don't think either one is bad or wrong or better or worse.

Do you have an extra set of shocks for when you have to send them in? I can't wait weeks for that
