Lmao, that trailer would throw a 2 door around like a rag. Specially with a couple sleds in it and all the gear, the 4 door wheelbase would be hairy also I bet

Lol you wouldn't want to know my limit then with good credit history, it's quite low comparitively. I have the Discover It card and they rotate categories for when stuff has more cash back than others. Plus you can add stuff from the app to the card to get more cash back at certain places

Neither would I, at this point. It'd be for my dad. His GMC is starting to get cancer problems, so they just replaced my mom's Subaru with a Yukon so they can still tow their camper. He'll be looking to replace his truck in the next couple of years, but won't need anything heavy-duty since he doesn't need to hook a plow on it or anything, and they'll already have a tow rig, but would still need a 4x4 and something with a bed. So the Wrangler Pickup might be a good fit for them.
So would an AC Tacoma, but he's not a Toyota person. He had an 82 that he bought brand new that had already developed rust problems by the time he traded it in '87, and he swore he'd never have another Toyota. The frame on my '99 rusting just reinforced his opinion, even though I basically made $10k on that truck.

2006 or 2007; not a new one. 12-13 years in Maine, and they don't wash, wax, or undercoat their cars

My LL Bean card has a $13,500 limit, and the Capital 1 is good for $7500. Stupid. I'd be happier if they were both down around $3500-4000. They were, for a while, but every few months or so they'd bounce and I got sick of calling and telling them to drop it back down. Not like I'm going to use anything remotely close to that in a month anyway, I suppose.

My old man has a 2008 Duramax that started getting a lot of frame rust fairly early on, like 2012-13 or so, long before it should have. He originally bought it for work but has been sitting in the garage since about 2010. He only plows the driveway with it in the winter (no salt used on his driveway) and tows the camper in the summer. Garage kept and always kept clean. He actually got Chevy to take it back and recoat the frame. It was ridiculous how rusty it was given the use it had seen (or not seen) during it's pampered life.

Yeah, it was taken over when MBNA got sold, and is now run by Barclay card. When it was MBNA I had a note on the account not to exceed $4k, but Barclay's apparently has no such option and every few months or so they bump the limit.

The wax coating they put on the frames is what's to blame, I think. Decent concept, but once it gets scuffed/dinged/chipped it's just a moisture trap. And if you put any sort of petroleum-based undercoat onto it within the first couple of years everything just sort of melts off and you're in even worse shape.

The Sams Club in my area is closing so I got a membership at BJ's and I applied for a credit card there as part of the membership benefits. $15k limit. Who the hell spends 15 thou in BJ's? I wouldn't even spend 15k in REAL bj's.

I've had a Cabela's Visa card for years and get Cabela's points.
Got a lot of shit over the years with those points.
Since Bass Pro bought them, I think the points can be transferred.

With my limit, I think I can charge a boat, motor, trailer, and a rig to tow it with, lol.

Yeah, it'd melt the existing wax film thing.

Hey, when the zombie robot alien apocalypse comes, we'll see who's laughing then.

Nobody, is the answer. Nobody will be laughing.

    Depends on the week, man.

Honestly my prepping stems more from a complete and total lack of faith in the government to appropriately handle responding to a large-scale natural disaster. After seeing how they handled Katrina I decided that I wanted to make sure I didn't have to rely on them if my area got hit with a powerful hurricane, ice storm, blizzard, earthquake, grid failure, etc. and started prepping. It's since come in handy quite a few times, just for minor things like power outages from some mild bad weather, and it'll be worth more than its weight in gold if we ever had a major event. :notsure:
