I was gonna go that route and make one but laziness prevailed... if you go access cab route id call or talk w someone that has it and make sure the mounting points line up....

Spent a few night's up in eastern NV... only picture I got and it's with cell as I didn't have my camera.

Been using this thing even more than I had hoped and loving it as much as I had hoped.

Do you guys keep track of the night's you've spent in it, and if so how? I think it would be interesting to keep track of.

That's a good point, I sort of assumed they would be the same, but now looking at some photos it looks like the middle mounting point on the access cab is closer to the gap behind the front door, than on the double cab, which is further back. Goddamnit, guess I should just be patient and wait for this damn thing to get released.

Or, fuck it. Maybe I'll just buy the double cab rack, it's only $25 more.

Whats your hesitation on this route? It takes less than 15 minutes to make the cuts and pretty hard to mess up. It seems like an easy choice to me but maybe you have other considerations.

idk, I'm just flustered by the whole experience. Part of me was expecting there to be some advantage to having a rack designed to fit vs. making one fit. But I guess I've just been wasting this whole time and should have just ordered the cab rack from the beginning.

Okay, I ordered the rack. I'll stop complaining now.

Yeah I can understand that. Would be nice for people to have a bolt on option.

So I've got a question for the peanut gallery. I think they would be strong enough, but please let me know if otherwise.

the plan is to mount these short pieces of L Track to the sides of the habitat lower shell. Above the lower walls that tie to the bed on the piece of aluminum normally covered by the Lid. They will mount just below the lid when closed.
The small track pieces will be mounted with 1/4-20 riv nuts or 10-24 rivnuts depending on what makes sense. Then I will hang a single stud fitting and was wondering if this would be strong enough to be an anchor point for hammocks. I believe so. My buddy disagrees. Any thoughts?

    Not understanding the mounting location.
I've used the L track in 12" and 36" lengths for essentially overkill tie downs in the truck bed. I do not like the look or feel of the single stud fitting, and have never used it. since they are claiming this as motorcycle tie downs, then they must be adequate to support body weight...?
I have only used at least a two screw version with through bolts to a backing plate (even if only plywood) through the bed.
I like that larger much more robust click/slide double stud fitting

The ring studs will be plenty strong to hold the bodyweight of two adults in a hammock... I would be more concerned of where the l track is mounted through the relatively thin aluminum walls. With the longer lengths of l track the loads are distributed over several bolts through the aluminum wall, not just two... it may not he an issue at all, but I see no reason to use the short little lengths vs a long piece which give you more mounting options as well... I have l track all around inside /outside / on top of the habitat and I'm alway's finding uses for every location. I just keep serval of those ring studs in my truck and always end up using them for one thing or another.

I agree with everybody. I suppose the concern I have is the strength of the rivnuts, but I think it should be fine.

On a side note, starting to love those damn rivnuts. Best way to install anything on the walls.

I also, prefer the double stud fittings. These short pieces will be primarily used to mount the Nemo awning wherever I want, but I was having a little bar bet with a friend. I'll report back when I get around to installing them.
