Hey man, I know we traded thoughts and pictures of our ARB bumpers and I wanted to ask you a couple of questions. I think you said, at some point, that it's possible to install a winch without removing the entire bumper just the front approach skid, is that right? And second, I'm going with a synthetic line, and Warn will be my brand of choice, I found a good deal on both the 8k and 10k. Which would you recommend, it will only be used when absolutely necessary. Is the 8k (I think it's actually 8.5k) more than enough? Or for like $150 more, would you just bump up to the 10k? Thanks for your input

you can remove the bottom skid and slide the winch into the bumper with a helping hand, thats what i did.

I own a 10k engo but from what i know about the warn 8 and 9.5, they are both the same motors but different gear ratios. I know people who run the 8k and have done perfectly fine. I run 10k for some safety margin

Yep, np. if you run a thicker fairlead like I do, you might want to get longer bolts since the arb mounts vertical. Also depending on the winch, might want to buy some washers to shim it a bit from the bumper so it doesnt rub and wear into the rope.

gotta reclock the box as well, how you do it is all preference but its easy.
