That's always an option for sure. The JL amplifiers and the Audio Control have such low current draw that in this particular application there should be more than sufficient current available for 12v trigger signal. In addition, it shouldn't have an effect on the turn off noise being described, however, it could always be an alternative troubleshooting measure. I've been wrong before :D

Also try grounding the outer ground of the RCA output/input in question.(wrap copper stranded wire around and ground on radio or amp)

So, were you using the power antenna lead, and switched to the remote amp wire, or vice versa?

I am bringing up an old post here. I have the same issue.

I have a 10" JL Audio lowpro self contained sub/amp/box. (Can't remember the model number) I am using the high-level input cable on the amp, running to the back of my stock head unit, into the speaker wires. I am not using a remote wire, as it is not required. It turns on and off upon signal through the high-input connection.

I have tried regrounding: no avail
Ran remote wire to switched power: no
    Screwed with gain: click-pop persists!

I was considering trying some sort of relay or trigger to delay the signal.
What was the solution for you exactly?

Does anyone have a diagram or the stock radio wiring harness?

You can try changing the turn on mode to Remote and using an "add a fuse" off lets say the wipers on the fuse box or anything that isn't crucial to the vehicle i.e. airbags, abs.

If you just want a right now way of testing it real quick, tap in with a wire to a fuse(accessory/on when key is on), then from the other side of the fuse to the remote input on the "amp".

If you end up using an add a fuse you have to make sure to check which side is hot on the fuse box and put the side without the wire to it.

Doing this will mimic you taking a accessory/remote turn on from behind the radio.

This is exactly what I did.

A few mods here and there and counting....
I had this same exact issue years ago running the alpine power pack and pioneer sub amp off a pioneer headunit. Drove me nuts but left it alone because I couldn't solve the issue through various means. It wasn't my first full stereo installation either. Switched out both amps to a kicker 800.5 and the issue went away in the mix. I would reach out to a pro installer such as Dean from 5Star Stereo in FL. Look them up on youtube. They are very knowledgeable and have a live show every week where they answer various questions from viewers. They helped me solved a fuzzy back up camera issue recently.

So, reaching out to a pro installer, he advised me to purchase an entirely new head unit... from him, of course! He had no idea wtf was going on.

I am going to try the delay switch or a trigger, but I have no experience with them. I'm sure I could figure it out, but...

where does the delay module wire to/between?

Also, finding a OEM 2nd gen radio wiring harness diagram is a pain. Does anybody have a correct one??? I am worried i am tied into my antenna power wire. My radio hasn't had great signal since my install.
(There are so many contradicting wiring diagrams on here)

Thanks for the help and sorry to BUMP an old post again.
