I bought it, cut it down for access cab , mounted it , and it did not lay flat to the cab, sooo it is off and thrown in the corner. Free .The bars are still like they came.

Tempting, I’m in Central Florida and was thinking of fabbing some folding rails for my topper to match my new OEM roof rack. What part of Central Florida are you? I’m Far East by UCF.

I already removed them. It had about 1/4" gap. Maybe I had it too far forward but was tired of messing with it. ( Just a cranky old man) I live about 7 miles south of Brooksville or 30-35 miles north of Tampa. I still have box they came in, but I am not gonna pay shipping to get rid of them. I would ship but expect someone to pay me back just what it cost. Would rather someone pick them up, but here they are. I am gonna spend probably $1K and put something like the Prinsu on cab and topper.

I had filled the gap with black silicone and didn't like it. I have set an amount to spend on my truck to change it up , and have only spent half, so I got some room for improvement. So far did the lift, tires / wheels , found ARE topper $500 , so what I have left to consider are racks and bumpers. Just want the truck to look and feel different for the next 5 years.

I was always curious about doing this, too. Sucks, i drove through Tampa about a month ago but now I'm back in the northeast. Was the gap between the rails and the roof?

It was at the bottom front outside where the tapered plastic suppose to lay on the roof. Measurements of holes were identical but the right side did not lay right. I tried 3 times adjusting the mounting metal piece inside and could not get it right.

Somebody could dig out what I used to put the 2 halves together, maybe trim a 1/4" + put back together and might work. BUT I AM DONE WITH IT!

I will box it up and take to fed ex and get a quote. You were the first one to ask. I used some epoxy. But even epoxy you can heat up and it will soften.

It is all boxed up. It is cut down 12 3/4" . I am not unboxing it. I am giving it away, willing to make trip to ship it. I re-boxed it. You can gamble by taking it. That is why I offered it as the bars being untouched. But if someone wants to try their hand at making it work good for them. I am out $170 and a bunch of time and 4 holes in my roof. I am not in the mood to mess much more with it. I am trying to find something to put on my cab and topper and willing to spend about $1,000 bucks now for the pair. Yea or nay if you want it ? If you don't want to gamble it won't bother me at all. I am not making anything so its up to you. You might pizz away the shipping if you don't have any better luck. Here is the link where I bought it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/VANGUARD-0...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
