I have been having problems with my Dewalt 734 planer. It’s feeding really slow, the blades are new.
I cleaned the rollers with mineral spirits and used some 150 sandpaper afterwards. Still not feeding very well. I’m getting these strange lines, kinda like drag marks from the rollers. I’m only lowering the head about 1/32”.

Is it plugged directly into an outlet or extension cord?

also need to check your drive roller raise your planer up high enough so you can see the rollers in the reflection of the planer bed, see if both are moving when turned on.

    from a different forum:

The 935 has the same problem as the 933, namely a small gear that drives the rollers breaks. If you raise the motor and observe the rollers when turned on you will find they are probably not turning.
It takes an hour or so to change and cost a couple of dollars. Buy two, one for a spare.

You would think that a lousy company like Dewalt would fix a simple problem such as this in a new model but apparently not. EVERY dewalt product I have owned has been defective in one way or another. Solved the problem. no more yellow.

I’m going to try some lacquer thinner. I don’t know if it will do any better than the mineral spirits I already used or not. Both rollers are turning too.

That looks like some knarley burnouts.

I noticed my new WEN 13" 3 blade likes to stall on wider boards. I keep a constant pressure from the back of the board with my hand and it hasn't happened since. Just enough pressure to keep it moving along.
