I can rebuild Fox Off-Road shocks. Don't suspect these are much diff, internally, than some off-road IBP Foxes I used to have.

trade tires for better ones. My dealership bought the stock tires for 750$ and I got some duratracs on sale so i only ended up paying 250$ for them haha

Fox/OME/Icon lift. TRD Beadlocks. Toyo MT’s. Pelfreybilt, RCI, Mobtown armor.
You’re not gonna want to hear this but I would just get a used SR5 4x4 if I had to do it over again. I got the 17 OR 4x4 and I love it but I would rather had saved 7 or 8K with an SR5. I’ve used 4WD several times but never used crawl, MTS or locker. Just get an SR5 and use the money you saved to do the mods you want.

The TRD Pro not having an available sunroof was a deal breaker for me. I ended up buying a TRD OR with the Premium and Tech packages so the major thing that I was missing vs. a TRD Pro was the suspension and the cosmetic stuff.

In the end, I saved a lot of money (mark up is insane in my area), got my sunroof, got the color I wanted (MGM), slapped on a TRD Pro grille and installed a kickass aftermarket suspension kit.

I went from a 2017 Tundra SR5 to an 18 Pro and I couldn't be happier. I was originally looking for a 4Runner Pro but couldn't pass up the options and updates the Taco offers over the 4Runner. So far so good!

not hating on the Pro, but if you plan on upgrading the suspension/wheels/tires anyways, what are you really getting vs getting a loaded Off-Road with Prem/Tech/Leather and saving $5K+, a Scoop and black headlights? I really wish Toyota would have given it a power boost.

on the other hand, if you plan on keeping it stock and want a truck upgraded out of the box, I can understand it a little more.

I ordered Method NV wheels and that's about it besides tint and a 2 inch Rough Country level to fit bigger tires.

2 inch level? The rake on these trucks is 1 inch. Your trucks front end will be too high. There's a couple 3rd gens around my town that got a lift/level kit and they look stupid. Just because 2nd gen stuff bolts up doesn't mean it's right. Its so funny to see these guys driving around town like that. How the hell do you no notice how stupid it looks. :puke:

It’s meant for 3rd gens, peasant. I’ve seen A handful of guys run them without retarded rake.

Lol peasant. I'm not the one ordering a ghetto rough country levelling kit. Have fun with that bro rake.

I have a 2018 quicksand DCSB off-road and I love it, I'm pretty happy with my choice coming from a honda ridgeline that I traded in for ;)

    I drive a honda
    So I’ve posted this before:
My roommate as a 2018 quicksand OR DCSB AT with tech and premium package.
I have a 2018 PRO Super white MT (obviously DCSB).
I also have a Calvary Blue PRO AT work truck.

I honestly can’t feel much of a difference between OR and pro the commutes everyday. We also did a 900 mile round trip to some national parks near us with some very mild off roading and the PRO probably handled the potholes better:notsure:. I do prefer the grill and wheels on the PRO but ever since leather was available on SPORT and OR trims I had no real reason to get a pro. The moon roof in the OR is pretty sweet.

The reason I chose the pro is resale value. I plan on keeping the truck for a very long time and as stock as possible so I purchased the marginally better one (mostly because it’s a manual). :anonymous:

Also when at work we park like a bunch of dbags, backed up in the front row where non-Tacoma peasants have to marvel in exclusivity.

@mikekoot A 2 inch level to fit bigger tires will give me such minimal rake, I don't think it will be noticeable. If it's that bad I can take it off or get an AAL.

From someone that has a different perspective. I have a 2018 Pro (Cavalry Blue AND a 2018 OR (Cement)- as well as an 01 TRD OR DCSB. I like my Pro because it came the way I want it to be configured- out of the box. The only thing I eventually added was a bed step and bed mat. It has great, slightly lifted suspension, a little softer and smoother than the OR. What I like about the OR is all the work I've had to put into it to make it the truck I want. I mostly work on mountain bikes and working on trucks has been a fun experience and a nice change of pace.
