Changing all belts?

    Looking into changing all my belts:
    Power Steering
    Air Conditioning
    Alternator
    Tensioner Pulley (AC)

    Thinking of going with CONTINENTAL Poly-V belt; Quiet Channel Technology

    I can get everything shipped for $58.00. Am I missing anything? Thanks

    I'd the idler isn't making noise I wouldn't change it unless allot of miles.

    Truck has 208K, but I do not know how old the belts are. Past owner said he changed a belt or two 8K miles ago. Might just do them all and get it over with

    If you decide to do something about the idler pulley, consider replacing the just the bearing rather than the whole pulley assembly. It takes an extra 10 minutes, but the bearing will cost $5 or $6, and can be had at a motorcycle shop.

    When was the timing belt last changed? While someone is in there anyway you might just do everything. 208K is right around the second timing belt change...

    4 cyl doesn't have one. Been wondering how to actually change belts, Toyota got me for $300 last time. It won't need another set for a long time but I wanna know for next time.

    That's true, 4 cyl has a chain. But also - OP's sig says (bold, red his) 1995.5 4x4 V6 Auto Tacoma XtraCab

    Get a flashlight and see if they are cracked or ripped. Otherwise, I would leave them alone unless you had reason to believe they were about to fail. They aren't hard to change, but why spend the money if you don't have to?
