Seriously, what is wrong with all the stickies? I like them where they are. It makes it easy for me to find the stuff I want. Just because somebody isn't posting in the thread doesn't mean it doesn't get used all the time. There are a lot of threads in the sticky section that I read frequently but never post in them.

@ThunderOne ....comeon’ man :anonymous:. You know @mechanicjon is straight-up one of the best on TW. Stickies don’t generate many replies just by the nature of what a sticky is. Most sticky Q’s are PM’ed to OP.

I know the steering shaft mod needs a sticky as you’ve mentioned. :hattip:

    Good luck out there!

Are you a Commodore or Vol? We barely defeated Vandy last night.

    Never sell your 1st gen!

I'm not trying to start shit guys, I'm just trying to point out some less than sticky material clutter in this area. I know @mechanicjon is an awesome dude. If we wanna sticky anything that he's done, we should sticky his seat Reinforcement sale thread. Because it applies to damn near every first gen owner out there!

Android Auto Beware!!! I know it is not for Tacoma, but I want to maybe save people some headaches and time.
I have done the same SWC mods to my Sienna 2006 XLE. I added phone/voice buttons from a donor Limited edition. The buttons work fine for bluetooth connections. Will not answer calls or hangup if you have your phone connected via Android Auto. (AAARGH - I wasted a couple of hours debugging my install until I decided to test with bluetooth (wireless) phone connection only and not AA).
Android Auto 3.8.584564, running on a Samsung Note 8, and my head unit is a Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX, connected using PAC RP4.2-TY11

Good to know. I just use the blue tooth connection and not Android audio. Never cared for Android auto much.

Well this is good to know. I was actually just looking at doing the swap but hadn't gotten around to choosing a new HU and was looking at the Sony AX5000 which is of course AA. Guess I'll look at some other HUs.

Found a steering wheel and audio controls from a 02 camry, still need airbag, clock spring w/ single srs plug and harnesses. Be advise that the 02-06 camry has different steering wheels so if you order one from an online yard make sure to get pictures of the item.

    AT YOUR OWN RISK!

My Camry steering wheel airbag did not come with the single plug, Came with a double

    image.jpg

My original 02 Tacoma one looks like this
    image.jpg

So, I cut the harness off my old coworker Spring and put it on my new clock spring. As you can see below the colors match so blue to blue yellow to yellowimage.jpg

now just working on finding a place to mount the connector. The new airbag cover does not have a slot to slide it on to like the old one does

For the 2003 Tacoma would it be the same clock spring? Also, do you have a part number for the correct one?

Can we get a correct part number on the cam cancel that does not have to modified?

I believe this is the correct clock spring part number for the SINGLE stage airbag with audio & bluetooth:
    Manufacturer Part Number:
    CSP6313/1
    Fits Toyota Sequoia Tundra 2002-2004
