No one has suggested the Honda Ridgeline yet. This forum has really matured the last few weeks. But seriously, the Ridgeline would be perfect. Speakers..cooler...

    This guy is either:

    A) Taking a piss.
    B) A 17 year old city boy who has never held a tool.

Thanks a lot for the advice.

I was thinking the Honda EU2000 as well!

For storage of the electronics (TV, Playstation, and guitar Amp), I was just going to keep those locked in the backseat so they don't get stolen.

What I need for the bed is some kind of seating, and some sort of sun canopy / insect screen.

I went for the short box because it is my daily commuter, and I need to get it around narrow city corners.

And to all the haters on this thread, a few months ago I was considering a 4Runner. I asked a bunch of questions on the T4R forums: And everybody was a bunch of haters and I ended up getting banned. Why, I don't know.

But I ended up getting a Taco ;)

    Please keep the suggestions coming!!

If you plan on using a generator to power your amp, I would suggest you do not use an amp that goes to 11 on the volume

Posts like this make me want to get a big screen and put it in the back of my truck to park next to guys like you. Not only would you deal with it, you'd move your truck when you got tired of it.

Get a bed rug, some of the led bed lighting that goes under the tracks in the bed and a Kelly 16x16 tarp with poles to cover it all.

That's actually a pretty nice setup looking at the video of it.

When I had a camper shell on my 1st gen I lined the entire bed with plywood and covered it in outdoor carpet, built a table/cabinet to hold a tv in the front. It had storage on each side of the bed between the wood and bed sides. Worked really well when I made a cross country trip. I'd sleep in the bed and could watch some tv or a movie while falling asleep. Wish I would have taken pics of it.

I’m sure it wouldn’t. I couldn’t possibly roll my eyes anymore.

get a TopperEZLift & attach some screening between cap & bedrail so when cap goes up you are in the open & screened.
get a Honda generator - they are a favorite in RV world due to the quiet at operation.
a high-top cap with EZLift system would be luxury - space wise.
Pick up a light weight outdoor lounger you find comfy. They even have inflatable ones for the beach now.
get a hitch step, a little luxury.

I have a Kelty Car Tarp, that has since been discontnued, but I am sure someone makes something similar. You could get something similar, attach one end to the roof rack, rig the support poles near the tailgate and then stake the guy lines out to create a shade over the bed with plenty of headroom. I had planned to do that for the next time I go to OBX to chill on the beach since my pasty ass does not do well in the sun.
