Prices seem all over the place and Carfax histories look similar. Does anything stand out on either of these to you?

    2013 off-road, white

    2013 Texas edition, magnetic grey

I'd like an offroad, but that one looks "off" for some reason. It may just be the wheels... I'm not sure how I feel about white either.

The Texas edition seems priced high, but it's clean and has at least $1500 in wheels and tires.

The VIN does it to be an offroad, as do the ATRAC and difflock switches. It is from Florida and Houston though, so rust could be a concern.

Maybe you think the off road is off because those aren't off road wheels.

Which begs the question, why were they swapped out for steelies? It might be as simple as it was traded in for a new truck and they wanted to keep the aftermarket wheels and tires.

I had to buy another set of off road wheels when my dad bought my truck. My current wheels are not the wheels my truck came with.

I don't mind that, as it looks like take offs are common and cheap. Just making sure that nothing else stands out. Are the 13+ frames still prone to rust? I'm a little nervous about buying a truck from the hurricane zone, lol.

I believe they still have the same frame. Mine has a frame that is prone to rust, yet there is very little of it. It is 10 years old and has 52,000 miles.

All the usual diesel truck mods- fuel system upgrade, programmer, CAI, intake manifold, j hooked waste gate
I like the looks of the white one plus miles are lower. The only concern I have is if it came from Houston it could be a victim of flooding from the hurricane. Use the fact that the wheels are not original as a bargaining chip to negotiate a better price.

It seems like anything less than 5 years old would've had an insurance claim if it were flooded. I can see older trucks, that had liability policies, being cleaned up and passed off. I'll check it out and see.

I actually dig the OE 16" steelies. But those Wheel Skins would have to go.

    Yep.

Also....the rear bumper on the OR looks to have been tweaked a bit. Probably nothing serious, as it is a used vehicle. But I would poke my head up under it and make sure it's just the bumper itself.

As for the Texas Edition? Looks to have had a bit of bro injected into it (not that that's a bad thing). I would want details on the suspension and other work if it's available. Otherwise, pix/posts here will probably net you that info

Interior isn't quite as modern. A simple head unit swap will do! How many miles btw?

That one has no fogs, exterior trim is not painted, has no rear-sliding window.

It's got 150k miles. I don't care about back window and the money I save could go towards upgrades.

Yeah, the market here is a little weird lately. I'm not afraid of the miles, but that is a little high I guess.

Search craigslists all around the the state. My dad found mine with a clean title, and 45,000 miles on the clock for $13,950. He found it on the Dallas/Fort Worth craigslist. I think these dealers have insane prices on used Tacomas.
