So, it's yet again been awhile since i've had any posts but we've been pretty active lately and have some things in the schedule.

Meeting the group in the morning.
From left to right: @eccracer104 @Prayn4surf (the infamous Antonio) @itaro @dtaco06
    IMG_3415.jpg

Got invited to join @eccracer104 maiden voyage trip in his new 4x and had a great time up in Big Bear over Memorial Day weekend. Met the group Saturday morning at Green Valley Lake and headed up to White Mt. trail. I've been wanting to do this trail for some time due to the elevation but it's a fair drive up the mountain.

@itaro does't listen very well and took a bad line. Sent his truck off the trail on the hill climb so we broke out the winch lines to get him back on the trail.

Got lucky and got the large group spot at the Big Pines campground that would accommodate all of the trucks we had. We decided to lay low at camp after spending the day running up the mountain and coming back from the trail. Relaxed, had a few beers, and then I had to run back down to Green Valley to drop a friend off who had tagged along for her first trail experience. Ass hauled down the mountain at night, no pics but it was a fun run.

The next day we had a skottle breakfast :anonymous: and our coffee and loaded up camp. Decided to hit 2N06X, Lower Largo Flats that runs into Holcomb. None of us had done the trail so we didn't know what to expect. @dtaco06, @itaro, and @85straight left a little before us skottle cookers and headed towards the trail. We caught up on the first rock garden where there were some Jeeps running the trail. Alan was having some power issues and was having difficulty running the obstacle so they turned back. We were warned not to do the trail, but wanted to at least watch the Jeeps run the rock garden.

Evan, @SeatSleeper took point on his +2" TC long travel and 35"s. Needless to say, we didn't listen to the warning and did the trail anyway.

Almost forgot one of my favorites! We headed North once 2N06X hits holcomb to avoid the "gatekeeper." This pic was on the very last obstacle on the North side of Holcomb Creek. It's also where @YotaGurlIAm decided that Even's truck didn't need a drivers CV axle and sheared a chromoly CV axle when trying to get un hung from a rock. The creek flows through so traction is a bit of a concern. Once our line was chosen, we all made it through with no further issues.

Evan winched his truck off the rock and I drove it out with just the rear locked. A quick trail repair and he was G2G! We didn't have a spare +2 CV though so we couldn't do the full repair.

Oh, it's in the works if you're down. We are going to run a scouting trip before September. The plan is to run/check out John Bull and/or Holcomb. Thinking the beginning/middle of July. Still working on logistics.

Maybe even the last week of this month.
