    Hi all,
I'm finally wanting to upgrade my 2017 Tacoma Sport and just wanted to get some advice on where to start....
I know i need to upgrade the tires and I wanted to possibly lift it slightly....
What tires are best for Colorado mixed terrain? It'll take me about 60 miles on highway to get to some of my favorite spots so i need something that can handle that...

I do a lot of dispersed camping and driving on forest roads currently and want to be able to that plus a little more.

I've already got a tonneau cover so I'm all good there...

    Thoughts/Suggestions?

    Thanks for your help!

Get a cheaper option on the suspension. OME is a great mid priced yet great suspension, or for just a tiny bit more go with the Bilstien 6112,5160 combo. Has rear resi for a little better performance. Contact @maria@headstrongoffroad, and she'll fix you right up. As for tires, cooper St Maxx are some great tires. Depending on how much lift you do will somewhat determine how big of a tire you can run without cmc or inner fender trimming. Of course there's still the wheels you want. Depending on back set and off set, ect......Tire, 285's are the largest(with in reason) and 265 smallest, since you wouldn't want to go smaller!! Put some TRD T4R pro wheels or for another inch of wheel but same look go with the FN FX wheels. Method, konig, SCS, all make wheels that fit tacos very well too. After all this the skys the limit. Steel bumpers, sliders, skid plates, LED lights man, you can never have enough, a cb, bed rack, rtt, high lift jack. Well that's enough for now. This site will cause brain overload, I don't want to add to it!!!! LOL. Good luck with your build. And always remember:
    TAKE PICS!!!! We need pics.

I don't agree with the ST Maxx suggestion above. They're stout tires, for sure, but super heavy and more for constant drive on extreme terrain.

I don't know what the terrain looks like where you're headed, but I'm in the state to the west of you. Are the stock tires lacking in some way? If so, I would say an All-terrain tire in 265/70/17 would do you just fine. Something like a BFG KO2, GY Duratrac, Toyo Open Country AT, or even Michelin AT2's.
