I'm want replace the chrome badges on my 2015 TRD Sport BRM with black ones.
I have not removed the originals but they appear to be metal.
Are the black OEM badges metal or plastic?
I messaged an eBay dealer offer, Royal South I believe.
They confirmed emblems are OEM plastic for $110.
That's a pretty obnoxious price for plastic.
I recently got a black TRD badge off eBay that is metal.
Help from the hive is greatly appreciated.

A $9 can of plasti dip makes them black.

Have no idea why you would want to go through the hassell of relaying badges when you don’t need to.

Badges, badges.....I don't need to relay no stinking badges.
    Mask, spray and pray ?
    Sounds cheap and relatively easy.
    Any advice?
    Surface prep for good adhesion.

Just clean good and wipe down with rubbing alcohol. Give at least 6 or7 coats.

Does plastidip come off when you pressure wash the truck?

I Plastidipped my badges some three years ago and pressure wash it all the time and also run it through the car washes and they look just as good as when I first did them.

I plastidip the Tacoma badge on the door but chose to remove the v6 on the tailgate. Both very easy to do. Thanks for posting the video.
