Anyone know if GM friends and family discount is stacked on top of current discounts or does it start from msrp?

I was when I was looking but they ride like a work truck.

Well mines a 2010. In 2011 they got a bunch of electrical upgrades that needed worked out, then I think in 2014 they got more electrical upgrades that need worked out along with the new transmission. I think 2017 is when they really started improving again, but time will tell. Older gas dodges are notorious for their failing transmissions.

Haha I totally understand... My buddy recently started working as an engineer at GM and he just picked up a diesel ZR2 for ~$36k with incentives and employee discounts... I won't deny that I've been checking the GM job listings :anonymous:

Yeah just seeing some of the listings for the current incentives... Combine that with additional discounts and 0% financing and is worth considering.

Kinda unrelated to what I was saying. Think more along the lines of how the lower air density increases the throttle angle and relative load on the engine. This greater throttle angle and calculated load keeps the vehicle from entering/optimizing their engine controls for entering fuel savings mode.

Yes, old dumb cars can get better fuel economy at higher altitudes when the conditions are correct. The newer cars will also but the have issues entering their OEM designed "hyper mile" state. This is why you hear so many people complaining that they cant reach the EPA door sticker ratings on new cars.

Why is that? Because they have collected about a million dollars worth of preorders and are only up to order #15?

Still can't believe they want a full deposit for orders that are over a year out.
