I just got back from a week long honeymoon last night. The truck just sat all week and I went out this morning to head to work and nothing... I jumped it off and noticed while driving the scan gauge would just have a blank screen. Any chance the scan gauge drained the battery?
The truck is a 2015 with the original battery. Any ideas?
    Thanks!

Could be the scan gauge, but lets broaden the search a little. Could you have left a door ajar? Any electrical mods? Could have anybody tripped the security system, leaving the horn blaring until the battery died? Are the connections on the battery clean and secure? If nothing wrong on this list, I would disconnect the scan gauge for a couple days and then plug it back in.

Have the battery tested, doubt the scan gauge drained the battery.

Is the scan gauge working or is the screen just blank now?

My OEM battery died in 2 years and 7 months. I wouldn't rush to blame the scangauge.

The scanguage only gets power through the obd2 port. If the keys off, the scanguage is off. If your keys off and the scanguage is on then you got some other internal issue going on in your vehicles computer. Just an fyi.

Not sure if this is correct. The scangauge turns itself off when you turn your truck off. But it always has power. I can press the button on mine when the vehicle if off and key out of ignition and it turns on for a little bit then shuts back off. It doesn't have realtime data, but shows the temps when it was last running.
The OBD always has power. This is why you can buy a OBD cable to cigarette lighter cable when changing your battery to keep all of your memory. You give the OBD power so it keeps your memory, like radio stations, ect. Like this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N7T2UWL/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&th=1

Battery is weak, standby is too long, scangauge is always power on regardless the truck is off or not, only LCD is off to conserve the power when the truck is off. Temperature is not ideally. All combination listed above caused your battery drained.

FYI. On OBD connectors, pin 4 is ground and pin 16 is battery power (battery power is always on, accessories power is off when truck is off).

I guess I was expecting the battery to last as long as the AC Delco in my 2002 z71 did. 10 years on the original.

And thanks for all of the insight!
