Hi there, I know led lighting has been discussed on many threads, but I have heard people mention that aftermarket led headlights freeze up in the winter? Because they do not generate enough heat. I can not seem to find a definitive answer on this before I spend the money, I live in Duluth Minnesota. Anyone have some experience in this? Thanks for your time.

from what I read the issue is the ice/snow won't melt off the headlight housing. The LEDs themselves will continue to work but the view is obstructed.

    Correct @Fye123

Our stock headlights are pretty good as long as you keep them clean. If you live in a salt area, make sure to wipe them off before a long ride.

Yeah I have just heard people say when you switch to LED bulbs they do not get hot enough, and the lens ices over

LED bulbs popped into a refractor not made for them won't illuminate worth a hoot either.

They may make a lot of light, but that doesn't always equal seeing well.
