I'm looking at that Tacoma you put up on the site a couple of day's ago it actually looks fricken awesome. What would it cost to Line X a truck like that ? I know a guy on our military base that did his 2 door jeep wrangler with Rhino Guard which is a little thicker and courser finish than the Line X. The jeep looks bad ass.

Before I sold mine back in February I had a quote of $4,900. Even had a quote for just the hood and cab roof for $650. It varies around the U.S. I was talking to a guy on the east coast and he was quoted $6,900 to do his truck. I do know the Line-X Body Armour is a couple thousand higher than the premium coating they like to spray on just because it takes 2 coats because it is thinner.

Not true. Most foam cannons need at minimum 1.4 gpm. Ryobi only makes up to 1.2 in electric as far as I've seen.

    @kravmaga is 100% spot on

I have a question about hard water. Within the first couple weeks of having my truck, it got hit with some hard water. This stuff is ridiculous! I've tried a plethora of at home fixes and I can't seem to get rid of it. Vinegar, Water Spot Remover... The stuff doesn't go away. Would anyone happen to know of a way to get rid of these spots? It's the worst on the windows.

    Thanks!

Try a clay bar. If that doesn’t work you are going to need a polish.

A lot of times it depends on the mitt. I have a merino mitt that holds a lot of water but doesn’t suds up.

Just ran and bought one. Looks like I'll need a polish. Hard to see here, but is visible in the lighting. This is after the wax.

I scoop up suds when i lift out my mitt and let some water drain off. I hit it with the hose to resuds if needed.

This is why foam cannons were invented.

Get yourself one to help increase lubricity with more suds.

Anyone recommend a cleaner for matte black wheels? Looked at the chemical guys stuff, the kit they recommend is $40! Not looking to spend that much

    What kit?

I use their Diablo Wheel Gel and their Decon DeIronizer. Both of them are like $40.

But how much did your wheels cost?

Those two products will last you 3-4 years if you maintain 1 truck and they actually work.
If you buy shitty products from Walmart not only do you run the risk if ruining the finish on your wheels but they likely don’t work well causing you to have to scrub more.

I wash my wheels every wash and use the de-ironizer every 3rd wash. Those products are incredible and I could eat off my matte black TRD Pro wheels.

The truck wasn’t cheap, don’t get cheap on the products.

Chemical Guys stuff is worth every penny.

Yes, some basic items. Pretty sure Packcon was not referencing those.

    This is the kit

    https://www.chemicalguys.com/Complete_Matte_Kit_3_Items_p/hol99516.htm

The wheels were about $400. I understand not going cheap cause the truck and wheels were expensive. But for a truck that’s 10 years old and has been beaten pretty hard on trails, hard to justify spending that much on soap for wheels. Not looking for cheap but not looking for over the top. Just wondering if there was anything a little cheaper than chemical guys.

Check out Autogeek. You will probably find something comparable there but don’t buy unless you have a discount code. They usually run 15-20% pretty regularly.
