Golf Club Storage

Anyone have any good DIY golf club storage ideas for a short bed? Currently have tonneau but no mat.

 

It was a pain in the ass loading my clubs between the bed and the back seat when I needed to secure them with my 2nd gen.
Especially that I needed to get them in and out over the kids car seats.
With the 3rd gen I made sure to get the factory cover and installed a pop n lock so I can just leave them in the bed and never have to worry about weather I locked it or not.

My clubs can fit laying across the bed so the bar can go behind to prevent it from sliding forward.

 

What are you looking for, to stop your bag from sliding around or security? The bed mat is well worth the money and will definitely help stop the bag from sliding around. I have a locking tonneau cover (fold-a-cover) and along with the locked tailgate feel my clubs are fairly secure. I also use a bungee cord and a bed cleat to keep my golf push cart from flipping over.

 

Guess I'm not sure what you are really looking for, but adding a mat seems practical.

Are you wanting to lock them up too?

 

Mostly sliding around. Had vinyl tonneau put on today. Bed is pretty slick so considering mat but thought people may have some different creative DIY ways of keeping them secure.

 

I got a bed mat from @gunny1005. Best prices, and that includes shipping...my local dealers weren't even close.

Spend $100, and they are way useful for more than just for clubs. Those bed mats are good and sticky, and keep my clubs and push cart right where I leave them.

 

Bed mat. Lay them longways with the bed. If you roll them around, you're driving too hard.

 

I am not a golfer, so only have a shitty set of clubs. However, when I go, I simply put them in the bed and put a bungee over the bag to the 2 d-rings on either side of the bed. I have a basic tri-fold tonnopro, so this works well enough for me

 

Will it fit sideways? Maybe a truck bed bar would do the trick. For me, a bed mat would not work. It just rolls around at every turn.

Nothing creative needed..........get the OEM bed mat and be done with it.

Try this.... I have a 2x6 that runs across the rear of the box... It fits into the slot made for it and is perfectly placed for my clubs between the TG and the 2x6..... I have a tonneau cover as well.

It works "tickety-boo"...
