I bought a new Taco five months ago; however, I was in a car accident that resulted in a total loss. I loved my truck but I love it even more for getting me home safely. Picked up a new 2018 DCSB TRD Off Road w/ the premium package (leather, sun roof, JBL and small stuff). This is a slight upgrade from the 2017 TRD Off Road.

Glad your safe and congrats. Only regret I have with my truck was not splurging on the premium package for the sunroof.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
    That’s bad and good! Congrats!

May I ask what you ran into? Or what ran into you? These trucks keep the occupants safe!

I've seen it time and time again.

I was run off the highway by another vehicle. I swerved and unfortunately ran into an embankment. I considered other vehicles but I loved my Tacoma and the safety aspect sealed the deal.

Happy your OK after that. New truck looks nice. What made you pick a different color? Just wanted something different?

Funny, the only "regret" I have is getting the P&T pkg, because I don't like the sunroof.

I have the premium package, and the sunroof is nice, HOWEVER, you lose 3" of roof clearance with it inside. I rode in a non-sunroof model and loved the extra headroom in the truck. If I had to do it again, I would probably NOT get the sunroof for that reason.

    Interesting you ask...

When I went to buy my first Taco my preference was the Quicksand but they were not dealing on any of those. After owing the Silver Sky Metallic, that was my preference but they didn't have any with the options I wanted at the dealership. Now that I own the QS I think it like it more than the SSM. I'm basically flip flopping more than a politician.

I Almost bought a non premium Tacoma (same as my old truck) in Cement. I really like that color as well.

I was literally wondering about this last night! I was in the backseat trying to change out the dome light with an LED and there was a hump after the sun roof. I was thinking to myself that it looked like I had less headroom than my old truck due to the sunroof. Good to know I'm not crazy.
