2010 4Runner Mirrors Worked!

Not hard, just time consuming. I picked through this and other posts to get all of the details and built a harness.

Are 2013 4Runner mirrors compatible for this mod?

 

OK, this may be stupid and I may be overthinking this or have just read too many of these links late at night, but I see all the wiring instructions for the driver side. How is the passenger mirror and its turn signal, puddle light and heated element supported? I do the wiring twice and lead it from passenger side to the driver side?

Wait, the wiring directions show both mirrors, so I lead wires under dash from pass side to the fuse box?

 

Can anyone advise me if these mirrors will work? They aftermarket 4Runner replacements. It says it has a 11 Hole 7-Prong Connector. The mirrors have turn signal lights, puddle lamps, heat, and power adjust. That's a lot of wires. As long as it has a wiring diagram I should be able to figure which wire go where.

I'll have to do this to my 2011 taco, I've looking for the mirrors with turn signals for the truck.

 

The problem with the aftermarket mirrors is that if you break the mirror glass there is no replacement glass, you have to purchase the complete unit again. They made the outside look correct then used a weird size glass that there appears no replacement. Even the glass places have nothing.

 

Did you ever figure this out?

 

They’re different on the mounting points too...they look the same as on the 3rd gens
I haven’t been able to take one apart because I was curious about it too.
Hopefully some day soon I will

Ok, so sounds like 2010-12 are a fit for our trucks? That's helpful to know there's a few years options for mirrors to look for.

 

Yea there’s a couple of threads on it...I’ve had mine since 2012
It’s technically the same mirrors on the 12-15 trd sports just with puddle lamps and heated mirrors
But you need to use the metal swivel piece under your stock mirrors and door mount from the tacomas to mount them

Yea some stuff is all over the place when it comes to info but it’s not a hard swap

does anyone know which year 4runner mirrors would fit my '14 base model sr5? 10-12?

 

As mentioned above, it’s 2010-12 4runner mirrors work on all 2nd gens
But just need to run the new wiring for things to work

 

Puddle lights are awesome!!

 

I want to know what kind of relay/ switch combo you used. I'm tryna use the factory highlander switch so that it could fit into the left hand side for my 2nd gen, however its a "momentary" switch. Need Help!
