I'm going camping/ wheeling next weekend. Leaving Saturday morning... coming home Sunday afternoon. All are welcome. If you want to check the area, its Carroll summit north in the Desatoyas.

Yeah you have to take the right line across the river. There’s a sandbar in the middle that you want to shoot for. Otherwise it gets deep.

    Gates are open!
One caution. Doesn’t look like they graded the road this year so it’s not as Subaru friendly as it was. I still did it in 2wd in my truck, just a caution. I winched a boulder that was in the middle of the road out of the way to the side of the road wide enough that any of our trucks can make it through.

Also FYI. Gates on Blue Lake road are open but some of the smaller gates like Tamarac are still closed. I didn’t have time to shoot up to Lost Lakes.

I think that is the case, not a legal crossing, but of course people do WTF they want until whole areas get closed and then bitch, moan, and wonder why it happens.

There are like 10 crossings and no authority figures. Part of the reason I hang out there so much :D

Debating it but don’t think I can justify the dough for weekend warrioring. It’ll be badass for your cross country trip though!

Im getting one purely because I despise going to get ice the morning that I leave to go camping. its a waste of time. Well, and because Ive wanted one for quite some time now. Well, and because SOMEONE posted a link to the group buy.

I have the dual zone 65 and it works like a champ. I use the freezer part to freeze blue ice bottles to keep the beer cold in the "poor man's yeti" and just cycle them back and forth.
