    Hey all, I was T-boned by a car doing 60 and long story short my Subaru Crosstrek is no more and I am finally buying my dream Taco. I've dove into the complicated world that is suspension and had a few questions. I've done quite a bit of reading but am left with a couple of questions.

    1. I am planning on doing a good amount of off-roading/overlanding what are youre guys favorite suspension setups in the 2-3" range? I am leaning towards a fox setup front and back with TC UCAs and a Dakar leaf.

    2. If I were to go a fox or king lift with upper control arms and extended coilovers, can I then convert to a long travel set up by just adding lower control arms, extended axles, or will I need new coils?

    3. When deleting the sway bar is it simply just a matter of removal?
    4. Where are your favorite resources for buying suspension kits?


    Also just in general would love advice and discussion on functional off road suspension that can be used as a daily driver. This seems to be an awesome community and I am excited to join your ranks!

    The first bullet point will end up giving you a lot of different answers from different people, so I’ll let others who actually have MT setups answer that.

    Converting from mid travel to long travel isn’t as simple as adding LCAs and axles, it’s a little more involved than that. The stickies in here provide a lot of info and I’m sure the guys in the BS thread are more than willing to help once or if you decide it’s what you want to do. https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/long-travel-suspension.113/

    Removing the sway bar is pretty straight forward but if you drive on the street often, you may or may not want to put it back on. It’s a preference thing.
