    First time I’ve ever been stranded. Taco Has been parked 2 weeks. On the way home from work I got dropped off by my car pool and started it up. Sounded awful cranking, I thought the starter was going. It fired off and squeeled a bit. I let it warm up while I hit the restroom. Came back out and it stank like rubber and there was a light smoke.

    Popped the hood trying to see what’s up. Couldn’t see anything with the flashlight until Bang serpentine belt let go. Left some rubber marks on the alternator pulley so I checked it out and yep, frozen solid.

    Standing by for a ride now... guess the tacos gonna need a tow and some work tomorrow.

    My co-worker is taking a half day today, and then going to be off Monday and Tuesday. Gonna be a busy next few days I'm sure.

    And Portugal plays today vs Spain at 2! Going to be "useless" this afternoon at work. :D

    Ok so I'm looking for the positive wire off of the ignition switch on the second gen, anyone know? I would rather not tap directly to the starter.

    I won't be much help but, search for "service manual". There'll be a link to a website with customtacos in the link. From there you can download an 05 manual which will give you the wiring diagram. I used to have the manual but it was left on my old work computer...

    I had my truck detailed by a local guy yesterday. He did a fantastic job. Looks awesome!

    I hadn't washed it or cleaned the inside in who knows how long. Now it's nice and shiny!
